What started as a personal journey to healing has grown into a space for others to find calm, clarity, and care.
Hi, I am Gabriel, one of the founders of Rebel Remedies. I decided to create Rebel Remedies, because I grew up relying heavily on ibuprofen just to function. Without it, I was practically incapacitated, stuck on the toilet with debilitating cramps and painful period poops. While ibuprofen gave me relief, I lived in fear of what years of continuous use might do to my gut. I took it multiple times a day, every day of my six-day cycle. The long-term damage weighed heavily on my mind.
At one point, I thought my only other option was birth control. So many women are pressured into hormonal contraception, not because they’re sexually active, but simply to cope with menstrual pain. And with that comes a new set of problems: depression, feeling disconnected from yourself, and losing your natural cycle altogether.
I refused to accept that those were my only choices. Deep down, I believed there had to be alternatives. And I found them. Herbs changed my life: damiana, alfalfa, red raspberry leaf, and ginger. Since incorporating these into my routine, I’ve had practically pain-free cycles. More than that, I’ve fallen in love with my period. It’s become a sacred time to rest, to reconnect, to unwind.
People often talk about reclaiming our womanhood from patriarchy. But part of that reclamation lies in reclaiming our menstrual cycles that deeply powerful part of us that society has taught us to resent or ignore. How many women do you know who dread their periods? Who suffer silently with PCOS or endometriosis? I know many.
It's become normal for us to suffer. It's become normal to be handed birth control like a cure-all, while our bodies and experiences remain understudied and misunderstood. Especially when herbs, used by generations of women before us, hold so much healing, and so much truth!
This is a silent war against women, and I chose to fight back.
But this fight isn’t just about herbs or medication. It’s about how deeply society infiltrates every single product we use ,from the foods we eat, to the pads we wear, to the very packaging our teas come in. Most of them are loaded with hidden endocrine disruptors: chemicals that interfere with our hormones, our fertility, our energy.
At Rebel Remedies, we refuse to let that slide. That’s why we go further — not only sourcing herbs with a history of healing, but making sure every part of our product is safe for your body. From our chemical-free tea bags to our BPA-free loose-leaf pouches, we’ve removed the toxins that too many brands overlook. Because true healing isn’t just about what’s inside the cup — it’s about the integrity of the whole experience.
Rebel Remedies was born out of my battle with menstrual pain, but it doesn’t end there. The truth is, society has normalized suffering for all of us — whether it’s women being pushed onto birth control, or anyone expected to just "push through" exhaustion, stress, and restless nights.
That’s why we created blends like Return to Sleep — a natural way to calm the nervous system, release tension, and support the deep rest every body deserves. As someone who battled with depersonalisation and derealisation (DPDR) for two years, I know what it feels like to live in a body that won't switch off. I know the panic of being exhausted but wide awake, the overstimulated nervous system, and the longing to feel safe again.
This was made with that in mind — which is why we created the Gentle Sleep version. While valerian is effective for many, it can be overstimulating for those with sensitive nervous systems. This brand has been cultivated from my own story. Through my healing, I’ve learned to consider others — and that intention is carried into every blend we offer, and every future launch still to come.
We also created Return to Intimacy, because I know what it feels like to be completely disconnected — from yourself, your body, your emotions, and the people around you. For a long time, I lived in survival mode. I didn’t feel safe in my own skin, and closeness felt like a threat, not a comfort. This blend is for that version of me — and for anyone trying to come back home to themselves.
This entire brand is rooted in my story. Every blend was created because I personally needed it. And I know if you’re here, you’re probably needing something too. Our products are here to support you — wherever you are on your healing journey.
I overcame the war against my menstrual cycle and overall health, and now I’m here to help you do the same.

meet Damian
My name is Damian, and I’m the other founder of Rebel Remedies.
From a young age, my mum instilled the importance of healthy eating in me. She always made sure I had proper, nourishing meals, filled with fruits and vegetables.
In 2020, I became vegan after discovering Dr. Sebi. Cooking for myself with his recommended ingredients completely transformed the way I approached food. Although I eventually chose to return to eating meat, the knowledge I gained during that time stayed with me. It made me more conscious of what I was eating — from what kept me full to how I viewed every single thing I consumed.
When I began training in Muay Thai, I became obsessed with creating an optimized diet to support my performance. It was both a good and bad period in my life — I spent hours researching and tweaking my meals, almost to the point of addiction. But this obsession opened the door to a deeper understanding of nutrition. I started exploring ingredients that weren’t commonly used by other fighters, which taught me not just what I was eating, but why I was eating it — what purpose it served, how it fueled me, and the processes it set in motion within my body. That experience completely changed my eating habits. Honestly, I’m surprised this kind of knowledge isn’t mandatory in UK schools.
My journey with herbs began with teas. I had been interested in them for years as a way to improve my health but always felt hesitant because I didn’t know enough to dive in.
That changed when I met my partner. The first herbs I purchased — damiana, red raspberry leaf, and alfalfa — were for her, to support her menstrual health. After hearing her story and then witnessing just how much of a difference they made, I was shocked.
Seeing such results inspired me to start researching herbs for myself, and the impact was undeniable. It felt like stepping into a whole new world.
My Own Struggles
Since childhood, I’ve struggled with intrusive thoughts, intense fear, paranoia, and anxiety — often without clear triggers. At times, this made me aggressive or unsociable, and I knew something needed to change.
My partner Gabby researched and purchased saffron and passionflower for me to try. To my surprise, they made a huge difference. Now, I take them daily as staples in my routine. They help calm me down in a way I never thought possible. Of course, I’ve done a lot of other inner work too, but these herbs have supported me in doing that work more effectively.
What I’ve Seen in Others
Many of my friends struggle with restless sleep — whether it’s difficulty falling asleep, racing thoughts, or poor habits. Some avoid going to the doctor or don’t want to rely on medication, but watching them constantly suffer pushed me to look for herbal alternatives that could give them relief.
For me, it was about offering them something that could help them get the rest they deserve. After an entire day of hard work, everyone should be able to look forward to a night of deep, refreshing sleep. A good night’s rest leaves you feeling restored and ready to face the day ahead — and everyone deserves that.
Herbs didn’t just change my life — they changed my partner’s too. What started as small experiments with teas turned into a shared journey of healing, learning, and transformation. Together, we’ve seen how the right plants can ease pain, calm the mind, restore balance, and make everyday life feel lighter.
That’s why we created Rebel Remedies: to share the same support, relief, and empowerment that herbs have given us.
